This spring's popular western Maryland Trip will run for eight nights from Tuesday, April 18, to Wednesday, April 26. We stay in a great place on Deep Creek Lake and fish each day on western Maryland's four great rivers and terrific brook trout streams. It's a special trip, and we know you'll love it.
The 2017 Fish with a Member Schedule is attached. It is always subject to change due to weather and water levels. I'll guide the VA trips but all MD and PA trips are self-guided except when we have a volunteer. Please call me a day prior if you have questions.
Dr. Steve Moulton, NVATU Chapter Member, will deliver a presentation of interest to fly fishers and conservationists featuring information about the distribution, diversity, biology, and ecology of caddisflies.
Attached is the March Troutline- Mike Abramowitz to speak on some innovative ways to fish safely, the TU-Fly, a PHW tying event at Quantico, info on a great lodge at Deep Creek Lake, and our fly of the month.
A huge thanks to our publisher Gary Visgaitis and all our contributors
Hope to see you Thurs evening,
The “Too Simple Elk Hair Caddis” is the Fly of the Month to be demonstrated by John Hadley at the October chapter meeting. This fly was developed by the late Al Campbell. Many of his patterns and beginning through advanced fly tying lessons can be found on flyanglersonline.com.
